Find your way through French sentences
French news can feel unfamiliar even when you recognize most of the words. Pronouns refer back to earlier ideas, connectors link arguments, and reported claims use forms you may not encounter in everyday conversation. A short article lets you slow down and follow those relationships.
These public stories draw on news from France. They are a starting point for reading French news; the references and expressions can differ from those used in Quebec or Belgium.
A reading routine to try
Begin with the headline and opening paragraph. Identify who is speaking and which event the story describes. On a second pass, follow references such as il, elle, and ce, and notice connectors such as pourtant or donc. Explain the main point in your own words before moving to another story.
In Mundo, stories are adapted to your reading level. Tap words for translation and language explanations, then return to the sentence. The source reporting is real; the learning text is adapted with AI, so it can differ from the original article.
