Oldenburg will host a new German Armed Forces conscription center, part of a nationwide plan to reintroduce mandatory military screening for young men to increase soldier numbers.
In Oldenburg wird ein großes Musterungszentrum der Bundeswehr eingerichtet. Es soll in der Oldenburger Innenstadt, im ehemaligen C&A-Gebäude, entstehen und etwa 50 zivile Arbeitsplätze schaffen. Dieses Zentrum ist eines von nur zwei in Niedersachsen und gehört zu den insgesamt 24 neuen Bundeswehr-Zentren, die in ganz Deutschland geplant sind.
